PFF Designer Capsule Two

IMG_5795

On Saturday night the fashion dedicated braved the wind and rain to watch four of WA’s best designers at PFF’s Designer Capsule Two. Wild Horses kicked things off with a range of gorgeous mettalics, pastels and monochromatic black and white. Leather trim and some amazing accessories tied the collection together.

Restyle On The Runway

August might be over but Restyle isn’t quite done yet. Myself and the other op-shopping loving bloggers will be hitting the runway as part of this year’s PFF.

That’s a Wrap

Restyle The Kids Are In Trouble It's All Business

And that’s a wrap. 31 of days of op-shopped items and I loved every minute of it! I loved seeing all of the amazing creations that you all came up with, I loved my weekly visits to the RSPCA Society Stores and most of all, I loved being part of something important.

Restyle Day 28 – Belt It

The belt is a curvy girls best friend. Cinch in the waist, flaunt the hips. And lets face it, curvy or not, sometimes highlighting your waist is all you need to fight the frump on certain days.

Restyle Day 26 – Denim

I was pretty excited when I spotted this denim skirt. I don’t usually gravitate towards dark denim but I loved the cut and the fact that it didn’t have a waistband. And in case you’re wondering, no, it didn’t come this distressed.

Squuuuuuuueeeeeeee how freaking cool is this cape?!

Most of the prompts for the Restyle Photo A Day challenge are subjective enough for you to be able to work them back into your own wardrobe, but I was quite anxious about the statement prompt. As you can probably tell, my style revolves around muted and dark tones in simple well cut shapes, so my version of #statement could very well be your version of yawnsville. But when I saw this Little-Red-Riding-Hood-cape it screamed WOW to me.

Balmain did it, Michael Kors did it and Alexander Wang did it. They all featured monochromatic black and white in their 2013 Spring Summer collections. It’s such a suit-all trend and so easy to pull off.

Both my peplum top and Bardot leather look pants are from the RSPCA Port Kennedy store which stocks a really huge range of high quality pieces. During my visit there was heaps of leather and knitwear, oh and one amazing metallic Asos jumpsuit which didn’t quite fit me. So ladies I highly suggest you pop in for a visit, that jumpsuit still might be there!
