Sibling love

This morning I was at Fremantle cafe Ootong and Lincoln where these two cuties were running around entertaining the crowd. I just happened to look over with my phone in hand to capture this gorgeous moment. Sibling love at its best.

Green with envy

Happy Monday lovelies. Let’s wish this day away by gazing at the sweet mint hue of the Jade Crop Cable knit by Acne. As a gal who HATES winter and everything that goes with it, this almost makes me long for the sun to go down.

Missoni for Converse

Last month I was super spoilt to receive these Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylors for my birthday. The high tops have been kitted out with Missoni’s signature print and are complimented by leather detailing and black laces.

Rumour has it Converse only released 36 pairs in Australia so I’ve got to give it to the boy for tracking these down!

I plan on getting lots of wear out of these bad boys xx

Wildfox Pony Tale

Wildfox have released the lookbook for their 2012 Spring Pony Tale collection. With a nod to all things Barbie, My Little Pony and Rainbow Brite the collection is brimming with gorgeous pastels and soft prints. I’d like to get my hands on those gold cross shorts.

Bowling and burritos

On Thursday the boy and I had a night out on the town for our one year anniversary. Trent decided bowling and burritos would be the way to go so off we headed to Rosemount Bowls where he preceded to beat me in every game :(

Mmmmm bowling shoes… stylish! I did actually wear my new Missoni for Converse kicks which I’ll do a post on soon.

Then off to That Little Mexican Place in North Perth for some mexican fare. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for mexican that’s a little more authentic and has more than nachos and burritos on the menu – think cactus and guacamole made at your table.

Buen apetito!

Beauty kit

I promised a couple of days ago that I was going to do a more in depth look into my makeup kit. So here it is, a few of the staple products that I use every day.

My Makeup Kit

Olay Complete Defence SPF30+ Daily Moisturising Lotion
 – approx $15
I never leave the house without sunscreen on so this moisturiser is perfect for me. It’s not too thick or greasy and feels great on the skin and with an SPF of 30+ I slather it all over my face and neck. It’s cheap too!

Prevage Eye Advanced Anti-Aging Serum – approx $109 from
Ok, this one is on the pricey side so you’d kind of hope it not only reduced wrinkles but also restored your skin to its youthful best and maybe cured cancer while it was there too! I’m pretty sure it’s keeping the lines at bay – either that or I’m just telling myself that to justify the $$.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation – approx $90
Goes on like a dream, provides just the right amount coverage and most importantly I got lots of compliments on how great my skin was looking when I first started using it. A little bit goes a long way and I usually mix some of the Nars Illuminator into it – more on that bad boy below.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch – approx $47 from
The highlighter of choice for pretty much every beauty junkie I’ve ever come across and rightly so. It’s the best I’ve ever used to cover my dark circles which seem to remain no matter how much sleep I get. I blame genetics, thanks mum & dad!

Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna – $55
Not too dark and not too muddy it’s the perfect glow and depth for a bronzer. I use it across my cheekbones, forehead and nose and sometimes use it as a blush.

Nars Blush in Orgasm – $49
No commentary necessary, the best of the best.

Nars Illuminator in Orgasm – $58
Another god send from Nars, I usually mix this with either my foundation or moisturiser to give my skin a healthy looking glow. I then smudge a little across my cheekbones for some highlighting love before I put my blush on.

MAC Eye Khol in Teddy – $32
I’ve used this eyeliner for probably about 8 years now. It’s not as harsh as black and brings the green out in my eyes. I use it almost every day with just a slick of mascara or with pretty much every eye shadow I own for a heavier look. It is quite soft though, so it’s not for everyone, but on the plus side it’s easy to smudge and blend for a smokey eye.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara – approx $15
I only started using this recently and I’m converted. It promises to give you lashes without the need for fakies and while it’s not quite as good as a set of fake lashes, it’s almost there.

MAC Eye Shadow in Club – $33
Another one I’ve been using for as long as I can remember. This colour can be worked up or down depending on what look you’re going for. It’s a great alternative to black for a smokey eye effect too.

Nars Lipstick in Barberella – $45
I posted about this lippie earlier in the week. It’s my favourite day time colour – it’s a little bit nude and little bit peachy at the same time and it works great on my fair skin and bright red lips.

Napoleon Perdis makeup brushes
A few years ago I was lucky enough to be given a whole set of brushes and I really can’t stress how big of a difference it makes when you use good tools to apply your makeup. I use 4 or 5 of Napoleon’s eye brushes as well as a contouring brush and a blush brush from Chanel.

What do you kids swear by?

Oh lordy

I’ve been searching for these multi coloured Zara flats EVERYWHERE after seeing them on the beautiful Bee Eadie over at Atlantic-Pacific (if you haven’t checked out her blog, do so, she is adorable!)

Anyhoo, my search for the perfect candy coloured flats has been futile – Zara stocked them yonks ago and eBay wasn’t coming through with the goods either! But this morning, A BREAKTHROUGH!

Therapy Shoes how I heart you. And at only $39.95, they’re a steal. Get on my feet please!
